Getting to see the crater with smoke coming out was incredible! The tour at Pompeii was great, the place is huge so it was nice getting shown all the most interesting parts with a guide. The lunch was a simple pizza bust very tasty. Only downside was the bus, it was quite old a bit cramped, the aircon was also freezing for everyone on board.”

“Not very good value for money. If you want to do this trip, would work out cheaper to get your train ticket and separate transfer to Vesuvius and entry to Vesuvius. Had to collect train ticket at Sorrento before journey. On arrival at Pompeii Scavi – instruction was to get further ticket for entry from office on the first floor. Staff there not very helpful or pleasant. Bus took one hour from train station in a very uncomfortable vehicle to start of climb. We got off to a rough start as we booked this tour because it had hotel pick up and the tour guide called us to say that they could not pick us up from hotel based off our location in Sorrento and the size of vehicle that was coming.
